Instagram takes the fourth spot with 1.4 million downloads, experiencing a decline in app downloads for three years in a row. In the first three quarters of the year, BeReal, despite being relatively new to the market, has become the second most popular social media app with 1.6 million downloads, tied with Facebook. TikTok is the most downloaded social media app, maintaining its positon since 2019, with more than 2 million downloads so far this year, according to data from from market intelligence company Sensor Tower and its digital ad spend tracking platform Pathmatics.
